(Common names: Scissors, Helidonati, Souvlokoli, Kilkiriki, Biezi)

The Northern Pintail is 56cm in length and the drake can easily be spotted by its brown head and thin tail. The hen is less noticeable, having a longer body and thinner tail than other females and other species of wild duck. It is a winter visitor in Greece.
