Κοκκινότσιχλα

At 21cm long, the Redwing is the smallest Thrush. It is distinguished by its red sides, the yellow line under the eyes and its very dark general colour. The under wing is reddish. It is found in small or large flocks, usually in open spaces, particularly in the depth of winter. It is a migratory species, breeds in Northern Europe and comes to Greece in the autumn to overwinter.
